Distinguished Citizens Dinner

Distinguished Citizens Dinner 2011

Two of Saginaw’s finest community leaders, Larry Preston, CEO of Tri-Star Trust, and Dr. Samuel Shaheen, President of the Midwestern Surgical Associates, P.C., will be honored as the 2011 recipients of the Distinguished Citizen’s Award, by the Boy Scouts of America, Lake Huron Area Council. The event will be held on October 6th at the Horizon’s Conference Center in Saginaw, to benefit Scouting for underprivileged and underserved youth in urban areas throughout our region. Boy Scouts of America is the largest youth-serving organization in Saginaw County.

Larry Preston, founder of Youth First and longtime advocate for youth programs in Saginaw, is well known for his deep concern and countless hours spent in service to his Saginaw community. Dr. Samuel Shaheen is a huge supporter of the Great Lakes Bay Region, and is highly sought after as a guest speaker throughout the area.  Both Mr. Preston and Dr. Shaheen are more than worthy to receive this award and Saginaw and the Great Lakes Bay Region are fortunate to have these men in it.
