COPE and Climbing Visitation Training
This two-day course is required for Scouters who are members of visitations teams and assigned to review BSA COPE and/or Climbing program, policies, procedures, and equipment.

Attend the session that best suits your schedule.

Uniform is the Scout Field Uniform for your position.

Accommodations are inside. Bring bed clothes, towel, and toiletries.

We will spend some time outside. Be prepared for Michigan weather.

If arriving Friday evening, call for reservations.

Meals provided include Saturday Lunch & Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast & Lunch..
Registration begins at 8:00 am Saturday. Class begins at 8:30 am Saturday & concludes at 4:00 pm on Sunday
The course will be held with a minimum of three registrants. No special equipment is required, but you are invited to bring anything that improves or demonstrates the need for Challenge Course vigilance and safety. The course fee is $45.00 (covers registration, insurance, meals, lodging, course materials). The training is valid for five years (exp Dec. 31, 2016), and covers both Project COPE and Climbing Visitation requirements.
The course is NOT required for COPE (or Climbing) Visitation if (1) you hold a current COPE Director (or Climbing Director) card issued by National Camp School AND (2a) the NCS section director checked the Visitor/Inspector block on the back of the card, OR (2b) your Council COPE (or Climbing) Chair has approved you for visitation. If you hold both cards and are checked, you may conduct visitations in both program areas.
